This EXTRA LARGE pillow is entirely HAND embroidered on light tea-colored 100% organic cotton. Amazingly it takes 2 weeks (80+ hours) with 2 artisans working on it - just to make one of these XL Pillows! It is also unique in nature since each artisan incorporates a certain flair and signature to his/her work. Accented with black velvet piping.

  • Fun Facts: Sideburns were invented by former Rhode Island Governor Ambrose Burnside. The official name of the state is "State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations." It was named after the Greek Island of Rhodes. RI hosted the first US open golf tournament in 1895. Newport, RI's Touro Synagogue is the oldest in America, consecrated in 1763. In the 19th century, America's wealthiest familes built opulent summer homes or "cottages" in Newport. The most incredible summer home is that of the W.Vanderbilt Family. It is called 'Marble House' as it contains 500,000 cubic feet of marble. The Rhode Island Red, the state bird, is a chicken bred for its amazing egg production. Many consider Rhode Island the birthplace of the modern poultry industry. Rhode Island shares a state water border with New York and state land borders with Connecticut and Massachusetts. The largest bug, 58' long, is a blue termite on the roof of Big Blue Bug Solutions in Providence, RI. The bug's name is Nibbles Woodaway and it was created in 1980. Newport claims the oldest operating Tavern: The White Horse Tavern. It was established in 1673 and today is a fine dining, upscale beverages establishment. The state's highest point is Jerimoth Hill, it stands 812 ft above sea level. The Quonset Hut was invented at naval reserve base Quonset Point. Rhode Island hosted the first Circus in America in 1774. Rhode Islander Gilbert Stuart painted the portrait of George Washington found on the US one-dollar bill. Rhode Island is the only state that still celebrates Victory Day (the end of WWII) as an official state holiday.
