This EXTRA LARGE pillow is entirely HAND embroidered on light tea-colored 100% organic cotton. Amazingly it takes 2 weeks (80+ hours) with 2 artisans working on it - just to make one of these XL Pillows! It is also unique in nature since each artisan incorporates a certain flair and signature to his/her work. Accented with black velvet piping.

• Fun Facts: The Dahlia Pinnata is the national flower of Mexico. The dahlia plant originated in the mountainous regions of Mexico, central America and Colombia. The Mexi-Pipe is a famous surfing phenomenon (biggest swell of the year) which takes place in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. The Chihuahua is a state and a city in Northern Mexico. It is believed that the short canine of the same name is a descendent of the Techichi, a small dog domesticated by the Mayans. Poinsettias are named after the first US ambassador to Mexico: Joel Roberts Poinsett. The red poinsettia originates in Mexico and was called cuetlaxochitl by the Aztec people. There is a very rare rabbit in Mexico which lives near volcanoes, it is known as the volcano rabbit. The oldest University in North America is the National University of Mexico. It was founded by Charles V of Spain in 1551. Anthony Quinn was the first Mexican born actor to win an Academy Award (he won for his 1952 role in Viva Zapata). Each year millions of Monarch butterflies migrate to Mexico from the north. Mexico City is the oldest city in North America. At 7,382 feet above sea level, Mexico City has the highest elevation of any capital city in North America. The city was originally built on a small island in the middle of Lake Texcoco. Over time the lake was mostly drained of water and the city continues to pump its potable water from aquifers underground. With limited rainfall to replenish the water levels the entire city sinks each year (some estimate that the city sinks 10" annually). Bullfighting is a popular national sport in Mexico (originally introduced to the region by the Spanish). The largest bullring in the world is the 41,000 seat Plaza Mexico located in Mexico City. The Jaguar is the largest wildcat in North America and can be found in the southern jungles of Mexico. Mexico's flag depicts an eagle clutching a snake while perched on a cactus; this imagery is from the tale of the Aztecs' settlement in Mexico. Tomato, Chocolate, and Avocado are all words passed into English from the Aztec language of Nahuatl. Each December, Oaxaca city celebrates the radish with a festival called Noche de rÃÂbanos or Night of the Radishes.
