This original design celebrates the beautiful (and doggie friendly!) region of Carmel, California!
This EXTRA LARGE pillow is entirely HAND embroidered on light tea-colored 100% organic cotton. Amazingly it takes 2 weeks (80+ hours) with 2 artisans working on it - just to make one of these XL Pillows! It is also unique in nature since each artisan incorporates a certain flair and signature to his/her work. Accented with black velvet piping.

• Fun Facts: The Tor House is a historic landmark built of stone arduously gather by hand by poet Robinson Jeffers (some rocks are from the Temple of Peking, from Hawaii and there is a piece of the Great Wall of China as well). Crime Novelist Robert Wright Campbell lives and writes in Carmel (it is said that he writes nightly between midnight and 4a.m). Artist Chris Jorgensen built Playa Hotel in 1905 for his bride, Angela Ghirardelli (SF Chocolatier Family). The property is at Camino Real at Eighth and contains award-winning gardens. Seventeen-Mile Drive through Pebble Beach is the only private toll road west of the Mississippi River.
