The Lamp Stand was started in 2006 by owners John and Debbie Tortorice as a small online store offering Fragrance Lamps and Oils (an amazing candle alternative). In only a few short years, it has quickly grown to become a leading online dealer of many top brands in the areas of Fashion, Gifts, Decor and Home Fragrance offering more than 13,000 items. These items are stored and shipped from our Customer Service and Shipping facility in Springfield, MO. With a team of 20 dedicated staff members The Lamp Stand strives daily to give customers an outstanding experience and incredible values that are unmatched.

OUR HISTORY...

The Lamp Stand started out as a simple idea to offer a trendy product called a Fragrance Lamp at deep discount prices. John's parents had been in the gift industry for 35 years and suggested the idea of selling Fragrance Lamps as a way to develop some side income. So, on that suggestion, we started up a website with only a small product offering of 40 different items (all fragrance lamps and oils!). John's parents had some extra warehouse space at the time and stored and shipped the orders from Texas while we ran the customer service center from Springfield, MO. Once we opened for business, it was clear that we had found our niche. We quickly fell in love with online retailing, serving our customers and the idea of using our business as a means to Give Back to our community and the world. We attribute much of our success to these passions. Within a few short years, The Lamp Stand has grown in its product offering to more than 13,000 high quality and trend-setting items. Each year, our goal is to continue our expansion to give you more of the top brands you love at prices that can't be beat.

These days, so many internet retailers only have a small selection of product in-stock. They special order most items or have them “drop-shipped” directly from the manufacturer. In general, this means much longer wait times for you, the customer. Additionally, these companies often have to say “its out of our hands” when a customer questions where there order is or why it hasn’t arrived. Here at The Lamp Stand, we stock the vast majority of the items that we sell. This means when you place an order, that item is sitting out in our warehouse ready to get packed and shipped to you the same or next business day! We don’t “pass the buck” to another company and trust them to get your order right.
